There is no block list kept by Cadea alone. A pattern is blocked only through a public request that the owner wallet approves or rejects by hand, on chain. Plates registered before a block stay tradeable; only the block's owner can launch a coin on them.

What a block does
- Stops anyone else registering a plate whose first or last 4 to 12 characters spell the pattern, in any case.
- Reserves launching a coin on such a plate for the brand's wallet.
- Is public: the brand, the patterns, the status and the deposit are on chain for anyone to read.
What a block does not do
- It does not remove plates already registered, and it does not stop their sale or transfer, including to the brand's owner.
- It does not cover misspellings or other patterns unless they are listed in the request.
- It is not a trademark ruling: an approved block can be revoked, with the reason public, if it is shown to be false.
Request a block
For a brand whose name someone could use to imitate it. Once approved, nobody else can register or launch a plate whose first or last 4 to 12 characters spell a blocked pattern, in any case.
An address holds only 0 to 9 and a to f, so a pattern is 4 to 12 of those characters. Brands usually block their name spelled in lookalike digits, like 0 for o and 5 for s.
Deposit 0.10 ETH, kept as the review fee when the request is approved. 80% comes back when it is rejected or you withdraw it. You can withdraw any time before a decision.
